About David Bartlett and his cardboard furniture:
David Bartlett studied design at the Royal College of Art along side many other renowned artists such as Damien Hurst, Zandra Rhodes and Terrance Conran. His address book reads like a who’s who of fashion and design.
David (Barty) as he is called by friends and family has been at the forefront of design and especially ceramics and paper sculpture.
His most recent designs include a Christmas cracker for Aspreys with 3D printed bows which was a joint collaboration with the milliner Philip Treacy

Other Collaborations with Philip include the renowned Neverland hat that was the star of the 2012 London Fashion week in honour and memory of Michael Jackson. This design was a cardboard designed representation of Michael’s Neverland Ranch.
David has also done collaborations with Lady Gaga and many other Celebrities.

During this period David became friends with Isabella Blow the then Editor of Tatler and Fashion Queen. Isabella insisted on using his designs of cardboard furniture in many articles and even in her Paris apartment!
This led to collaborations with Alexander McQueen and several other fashion projects.
David did not restrict himself to Fashion
He had a successful furniture business and went on to work with Habitat, and Dorling Kindersley on some very innovative paper sculptures.
David continues his paper sculpture and has recently produced a wonderful model for the Bloodhound SSC land speed record (www.bloodhoundssc.com)
David has many many more designs and products. His latest product range is the cardboard exhibition furniture which uses his design heritage and experience in producing light, durable and extremely cost effective furniture out of cardboard. (see Exhibition Furniture tab)
